We've made it to Oregon... but lost a right front wheel bearing on June 24 so we're parked at the Valley of the Rouge State Park waiting for a new hub and bearings.
We will then head on north to be at the Anchorage Hamfest on August 1 - 4 and then we'll take a leisurely trip to a few spots in Alaska before wandering back to Alabama sometime after Labor Day.

While we transit Canada and eastern Alaska, we will be extremly limited in our ability to connect to the internet and handle new orders.   Please be patient.

Theodore will again fill in and take our booth to the Huntsville Alabama Hamfest and if things work out ...to Shelby (Dallas) North Carolina on Labor Day weekend.

While we are traveling, we will attempt to check e-mail regularly and forward all orders to Theodore for shipment from Atlanta. There will be times when we will NOT be able to get nor send e-mail or cell phone messages. 	V I S   Amateur Supply is a family business located in rural West Bend, Alabama, about 100 miles north of Mobile and does not operate a  'Store'  as such. We are usually in the shop or carrying a portable phone between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Central time Monday through Saturday... when we are not away going to, at or returning from one of the 20 plus Hamfests we attend each year or off to a Rotary function. We close for an hour lunch break around noon daily and at about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday when we make our weekly trip to town.
To better serve you, we are now accessible 24 hours each and every day via the Internet.   We check our e-mail at least twice daily except when we are all traveling to and from hamfests! 73       Van & Carolyn

• For information on Product Specifications, Shipping Charges, Sales Taxes and Pricing, please refer to the individual catalog pages on the product(s) of interest.

• Shipping:

  We normally ship UPS except for STUDY CARDS, SAM CDs and other small items of 4 pounds or less, which are usually shipped via USPS Priority Mail.  Most orders are packed in the evening to be shipped the day after receipt of order.   Due to our remote location, DHL Express only guaranties pickup service on Tuesday & Thursday.   Rush orders for AIR shipment must be received before 9:00 a.m. Central Time on those days to make their schedule!    We check e-mail for orders around this hour, but you should feel free to call to insure your order has been received and processed. DHL deliveries to outlying areas may also be on a less than daily schedule.

  All shipping times and costs given in these pages are for shipment within the Continental United States. Alaska, Hawaii & International shipping costs and deliveries will be quoted on request. Please include the complete delivery address and a telephone number.

  Warranty:

  VIS and GLA provide direct limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship on items of our manufacture.   When properly returned, we will repair or replace the item at our option.  Warranties and warranty service on other products are provided by the various manufacturers who's products we sell.  Most provide a 90 day or greater limited warranty.

  Returns:

  For items of our manufacture or production, you must call us at (251) 276-0212 or (800) 655-4267 or e-mail at info@visradio.com for assistance or, if applicable, to be issued a Return Material Authorization Number and shipping address.   All returns must be received by VIS within 30 days of the date of issue or the RMA number. No returns will be accepted or processed unless accompanied by a valid Return Material Authorization Number.   Your valid Return Material Authorization Number must be clearly marked on the outside of the package or it may be refused.
  For items NOT of our manufacture or production, you should contact the manufacturer of that item.   We will be happy to supply contact names and numbers on request.   We do not operate a service shop and cannot perform repairs during or after warranty on items not of our manufacture or production.
  For items purchased from us which you later deem unsuitable for your purposes which you wish to return for credit, these items must be in new salable condition. All original packaging and documentation must be included with the return. Packages returned incomplete or damaged will not be accepted. We reserve the right to refuse any such return and to charge a 15% restocking fee for all acceptable returns.

  Special Notes About Credit Card Payment:

  When you move to the SECURE ORDER PAGE, your transmissions will be encrypted and your order information will be processed by a secure server for maximum safety and your peace of mind!

  On international orders, or domestic orders being shipped to addresses other than those listed in the FCC or other recognized databases for licensed Amateur Radio operators, we may require a photostatic copy or other verification of your credit card before accepting your order.

  The charge appearing on your credit card statement for orders placed through www.visradio.com or www.texasbugcatcher.com via the Internet may show the vendor name as either of   "VIS AMATEUR SUPPLY"  or   "GLA SYSTEMS."

  Privacy:

  We ask for your TELEPHONE NUMBER and/or E-MAIL ADDRESS only to facilitate communications about your order and for verification purposes. We do NOT give or sell your name to any others and will use your telephone number and/or e-mail address after the sale only to provide support for the products you purchase.   If you are using any form of Anti-Spam software, please alter your settings as necessary to receive e-mail from us regarding your order.
  Please supply your Amateur Callsign (if you are licensed) to simplify order tracking.   If you have changed your callsign since your last order with us, please also supply your previous callsign, e.g. N5MUU - ex KB5FGC.
